MUSIC
The La Canada Flintridge Community Center Preschool Parent Board is proud to fund the music program Dance and Jingle to all our preschool children. Kimberly Bradstreet, the teacher and Director of Dance and Jingle, introduces each child, weekly, to music and movement – promoting cognitive development, social awareness, and emotional growth. The children are guided through an array of musical experiences: exploring instruments, marching and dancing to different beats and singing songs. Click here to see Music Program photos.
GARDEN
The LCFCCP Parent Board also proudly funds a weekly garden program. Millie Macen-Moore, a Master Gardener, teaches the preschoolers the fundamentals of growing an edible garden. The children dig, plant, reap and sow new vegetables each season. By the end of the year, children have learned the power and joy of growing their own food; a lesson for a lifetime.
